How to become a Barkworthy pack member
Joining the Barkworthy Pack is an exciting adventure, but to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all dogs, there are a few key skills required.
Excellent Recall
Your dog should reliably come when called, even with distractions. This ensures safety, freedom, and a fun off-leash experience with the pack!
Experience with wildlife encounters
​Your dog should remain calm and responsive during wildlife encounters, avoiding chasing or excessive excitement to ensure safety for both the pack and local animals.
Strong Social Skills
Your dog should be friendly and comfortable around other dogs, able to read social cues, and engage in positive pack interactions for a safe and enjoyable walk.
Basic Obedience Training
Your dog should have a solid foundation in sit, stay, and loose-leash walking. These skills help maintain safety, structure, and control during pack adventures.
Comfortable in Vehicle
Your dog will be in the vehicle with other dogs anywhere from 10 minutes to 1.5 hours depending on pickup location and adventure destination.
Ability to walk for at least 1 hr
Your dog should be comfortable walking for at least one hour on varied terrain to fully enjoy the pack experience. This ensures they can keep up, stay engaged, and have fun on our adventures!

If your pup isn’t quite there yet with recall, no worries! We offer limited private walks to help build their confidence and skills until they’re ready to join the pack.
